Common Ground Series: Preparing the Sacred Circle

  • Reflection Park Natural Burial Ground 16621 New Hampshire Avenue Silver Spring, MD, 20905 United States (map)

Nestled in the woods at Reflection Park, a natural ring of trees creates a quietly enchanting space. We call it the Sacred Circle. Right now, it’s a hidden gem. With your help, it can become a true gathering place for community events, special occasions, and quiet personal reflection.

Join us as we clear invasive species and lay fresh wood chips to open up this space. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with fellow nature enthusiasts, enjoy the serenity of the forest, and contribute to creating a space that will have a lasting impact. No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome. Bring gloves if you have them and we'll bring the rest.

We look forward to seeing you here as we prepare this special space at Reflection Park together!

Reflection Park is registered with the Montgomery County Volunteer Center, allowing us to approve Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. Encourage your teens to take part in this opportunity to learn and serve! Students under 18 are welcome with a parent or guardian.

This program is part of Reflection Park’s volunteer program series dedicated to land stewardship.
